Mascara is one of those beauty products where you can usually tell pretty quickly whether you’re going to like it. If it goes on smoothly, doesn’t leave your lashes looking like little spider legs, and is still there at the end of the day, that’s already a win in my book.
I recently tried Kehyla Beauty Mascara, and my first impression was actually pretty good. It went on easily, gave my lashes a fuller look, and stayed put without becoming a flaky mess. So from a basic mascara point of view, I was pleased with it.
There was one little surprise, though. I ordered the shade expecting something more purple, but the color I received looked much more like a plum shade. I still liked it, but it wasn’t quite the purple I had pictured.
The bigger question is whether Kehyla Beauty Mascara does more than make lashes look better for the day. The product page makes several claims about lash appearance, formula quality and performance, so I wanted to separate what mascara can realistically do from what sounds more like marketing.
What Is Kehyla Beauty Mascara?

Kehyla Beauty Mascara is marketed as a mascara designed to give lashes a longer and fuller appearance while avoiding some of the problems people commonly complain about with mascara.
The product claims to help prevent clumping, flaking, staining and drying throughout the day. It is also advertised as hypoallergenic and pH balanced, with several shades available.
The color options shown include black, brown, blue and gray, although the shade I tried was more plum than the purple tone I was expecting.
The product page also makes claims about dermatologist approval and having a large customer base.
Those claims certainly make the mascara sound appealing, but I think it’s important to judge the actual product separately from the advertising.
My Experience With Kehyla Beauty Mascara
My experience was mostly positive.
The mascara went on easily, which is probably the first thing I notice with any mascara. I don’t enjoy spending ten minutes trying to separate clumps or fixing marks underneath my eyes.
Kehyla Beauty Mascara applied smoothly for me and gave my lashes a fuller, more noticeable look.
It also stayed put well during the day, which was another plus.
I didn’t find myself constantly checking the mirror because I was worried that the mascara had disappeared or turned into flakes around my eyes.
So when it comes to the basic job of being a mascara, I was happy with it.
Does Kehyla Mascara Really Make Lashes Longer?
This is where I think the wording needs some attention.
Kehyla Beauty promotes the mascara as creating longer and fuller-looking lashes. That’s a reasonable claim for mascara because mascara can coat the lashes and make them appear darker, thicker and more noticeable. But that’s different from actually making your natural eyelashes grow.
A mascara can change the way your lashes look without changing how long your lashes actually are. That’s an important distinction if you’re searching for Kehyla Beauty Mascara reviews because you might see language about longer lashes and assume the product is designed to stimulate lash growth. I wouldn’t make that assumption.
If you want a mascara that gives the appearance of longer lashes, that’s one thing. If you’re looking for something that actually changes your natural lash growth cycle, you’re looking for a very different type of product.
What About Fuller Lashes?
This claim makes more sense to me.
Mascara can make individual lashes look thicker by coating them with pigment and product. Darker lashes also tend to look more noticeable, which can create the impression of greater volume.
That’s basically what I experienced with Kehyla, my lashes looked more defined and fuller after applying it.
But again, I wouldn’t say the mascara permanently made my natural lashes fuller. Once you remove the mascara, you’re back to your normal lashes. That’s not a criticism. That’s simply how mascara works.
Did It Clump?
Clumping is one of my biggest complaints with mascara, so I paid attention to this.
Kehyla went on fairly easily for me and didn’t turn my lashes into one big clump.
Of course, application matters. How much product you put on, how quickly you apply another coat and the condition of your lashes can all affect the final result. Still, I was happy with how it looked after application.
Did It Flake or Smudge?
Another reason I liked the mascara was that it stayed put, I didn’t have the experience of looking in the mirror later in the day and discovering a bunch of black flakes underneath my eyes.
That’s one of those small things that makes a big difference, nobody wants to leave the house with nicely done lashes and come home looking like they’ve been crying or sleeping in yesterday’s makeup.
That said, wear time can vary from person to person. Skin type, humidity, sweat, eye sensitivity and even how often you touch your face can affect how mascara behaves.
So I wouldn’t assume that everyone will get exactly the same result I did.
The Shade Wasn’t Quite What I Expected
This was probably my only real disappointment with the product itself.
I thought the shade would be more purple, but when I actually saw it, it looked much more like a plum shade. That’s not necessarily bad. Plum can be a really pretty color, especially if you want something softer and more interesting than basic black. It just wasn’t the purple I had pictured when ordering it.
So if you’re buying Kehyla Beauty Mascara specifically because you want a bright purple-looking mascara, I’d check the shade information and customer photos carefully before ordering.
What Shades Does Kehyla Beauty Mascara Come In?
The product is promoted in several different shades, including:
- Black
- Brown
- Blue
- Gray
- Purple/plum-style shades
Having more than one color option is a nice touch because not everyone wants black mascara every day. Brown can look softer for everyday makeup, while blue or plum can be fun when you want something different without going completely over the top.
The actual appearance of a shade can also vary depending on lighting, so I’d keep that in mind when looking at product photos online.
Is Kehyla Beauty Mascara Hypoallergenic?
Kehyla Beauty promotes the formula as hypoallergenic and pH balanced.
Those are useful claims for people who are careful about what they put around their eyes, but I wouldn’t treat the word “hypoallergenic” as a guarantee that nobody will have a reaction.
People can still react to individual ingredients, especially around the sensitive eye area.
If you have particularly sensitive eyes or a history of reacting to cosmetics, checking the full ingredient list and doing whatever patch-testing or professional advice is appropriate for you is more sensible than relying on a marketing label alone.
What About the Dermatologist Approval Claim?
The product page also makes a claim involving dermatologist approval.
That’s the sort of statement that sounds reassuring, but I’d want to know exactly what it means.
Was the finished mascara tested by a dermatologist? Was it reviewed for a specific purpose? Was the claim based on a particular testing process?
There is a big difference between a product being “dermatologist approved” in an advertisement and having detailed, independently verifiable clinical evidence behind a particular benefit.
So I wouldn’t use that statement alone as the reason to buy the mascara.
Kehyla Beauty Mascara Reviews on Trustpilot
Interestingly, the Trustpilot reviews for Kehyla Beauty are mostly positive, which is something I noticed when looking into the brand. That’s worth mentioning because it gives potential buyers somewhere outside the product page itself to see what customers are saying.
The reviews aren’t all identical, either. One customer said the mascara went on easily and stayed put, which is pretty close to my own experience. The same reviewer mentioned that they expected the color to be more purple but found it was actually more of a plum shade.
Another complaint was much simpler: delivery took longer than expected.
That’s a useful reminder that ordering experience is part of buying a beauty product too. Even if the mascara itself is good, waiting much longer than expected for your package can be frustrating.
Is Kehyla Beauty Mascara Legit?
Based on my experience, I don’t have a reason to say the mascara itself is fake or that it doesn’t work.
In fact, I was happy with how it applied and how well it stayed in place, but I would separate that from the bigger claims made around the product.
Kehyla Mascara can make lashes look longer and fuller because that’s what mascara does. That doesn’t mean it stimulates actual lash growth or repairs sparse natural lashes.
If you’re looking for a good everyday mascara that applies easily and stays put, my experience was positive, if you’re buying it because you believe it will permanently grow your eyelashes, I wouldn’t set that expectation.
Is Kehyla Beauty Mascara Worth Buying?
For me, the answer is yes, if you’re buying it as a mascara and not as a lash-growth treatment.
I liked how easily it went on, and I was happy with the staying power. The plum shade wasn’t exactly what I expected, but I still liked the color.
The main downside I noticed was the delivery time, which took longer than I would have liked.
I also think shoppers should be realistic about what the product can do. No matter how impressive the advertising sounds, mascara is still a cosmetic. It can coat, darken, define and visually enhance your lashes, but that doesn’t mean your natural lashes are suddenly growing longer underneath it.
What I Think
After trying Kehyla Beauty Mascara, I’d say my experience was better than I expected.
The application was easy, my lashes looked fuller and more defined, and the mascara stayed put well throughout the day. I also liked the fact that there are several shades available, although the color I received was more plum than the purple shade I was expecting.
The positive Trustpilot feedback is also worth considering, although I would still look at individual customer experiences rather than relying on an overall rating.
My biggest piece of advice is to keep the marketing claims in perspective.
Conclusion
Kehyla Beauty Mascara can make your lashes look longer and fuller, but that’s not the same as actually making your natural eyelashes grow. If you’re after a mascara that gives your eyes more definition without constant clumping and flaking, my experience with it was positive.
The one thing I’d be prepared for is potentially slower delivery, based on the customer feedback I found.
So, is Kehyla Beauty Mascara legit? From my experience, it appears to be a functioning mascara that does the basic job well. Just don’t buy it expecting a miracle lash-growth treatment. Buy it for the cosmetic effect, and you’ll have much more realistic expectations.
