DustaClean is advertised as a compact, cordless handheld vacuum designed to make everyday cleaning easier, whether you need to pick up crumbs in the car, remove dust from your desk or deal with small messes around the house. Its selling points include a lightweight design, USB charging, a built-in HEPA filter and up to 30 minutes of cordless use. It sounds like the sort of handy little gadget you can keep nearby for quick cleanups without having to drag out a full-sized vacuum cleaner.

However, my experience with DustaClean was nothing like what I expected from the advertising. I paid £84, including shipping, after being led to believe the product had originally cost more than £140. For that price, I expected something reasonably well made with enough suction to pick up ordinary dirt and dust. What arrived felt cheap, barely worked and was so frustrating to use that I wouldn’t recommend spending your money on it.

What Is DustaClean Supposed to Do?

DustaClean is a small, cordless vacuum marketed for cleaning places that are awkward to reach with a conventional vacuum. According to its advertised specifications, it produces between 3,500Pa and 3,600Pa of suction and includes a HEPA filter intended to capture fine dust and other small particles. It also comes with two attachments: a flat crevice tool for narrow spaces and a brush nozzle for cleaning different surfaces.

The vacuum is lightweight, weighs less than a pound according to the product description, and charges through USB. Its advertised battery life is up to 30 minutes, although actual running time can vary depending on how the device is used. These features make it sound convenient for cleaning car seats, corners, office desks and small areas that collect crumbs or dust throughout the day.

There is nothing wrong with wanting a smaller vacuum for these jobs. Not everyone needs a powerful household vacuum for every little mess, and a compact model can be useful when it is properly designed. The problem is that portability alone does not make a vacuum worth buying. It still needs enough suction to pick up dirt, attachments that stay in place and a build quality that inspires some confidence when you hold it.

My Experience With DustaClean

I was extremely disappointed with DustaClean because the product I received was nowhere near as good as the advertising suggested. The suction was far from powerful, and the vacuum struggled so badly that it did not even seem capable of picking up the sort of dirt I bought it to clean. A handheld vacuum is supposed to save time when dealing with small messes, but this one left me wondering what the point of using it was in the first place.

The only part of the advertising I could agree with was its portability. It is small and easy enough to carry around, but that is hardly a reason to spend £84 on something that does not perform its main function. I would much rather have a slightly bulkier vacuum that actually picks up dirt than a lightweight gadget that looks convenient but is practically useless when you switch it on.

The quality was another major disappointment. The unit felt flimsy and cheap in my hands, and I could compare the overall feel to inexpensive products you might find on Temu. Even worse, the end attachment kept falling off, making the vacuum difficult to use properly. When a basic component will not stay in place and the suction is already poor, the whole experience becomes a waste of time.

What made this particularly frustrating was the price I had paid. I was told the vacuum was supposedly worth over £140 and was being offered at a reduced price, so paying £84 including shipping seemed like a substantial purchase for a small cleaning device. Having used it, I would not consider it worth even £5. The gap between what I expected and what I actually received was enormous.

DustaClean Customer Service: Did Anyone Respond?

After experiencing these problems, I contacted customer service to explain what had happened, but I received no reply. That left me with a poorly performing product, an attachment that would not stay on and no useful response from the company when I tried to raise the issue.

I find this especially disappointing when a product is sold at a premium price. Things can occasionally go wrong with any purchase, but customers should be able to contact the seller when an item fails to perform as advertised. A responsive support team cannot make a bad product good, but ignoring a complaint only makes an already frustrating purchase worse.

I cannot say whether every DustaClean customer has had the same experience, and my experience alone does not establish how the company handles every complaint. However, I can say that I contacted customer service and did not receive a reply, which did nothing to reassure me about the purchase.

Is DustaClean Worth £84?

Based on my experience, absolutely not. Its advertised features may sound appealing, but they mean very little when the vacuum struggles to pick up dirt and its attachment repeatedly falls off. The lightweight design is convenient, yet portability is not enough to justify the price when the product itself feels flimsy and fails at the job it was bought to do.

The advertised reduction from more than £140 to £84 also made the purchase seem like a better deal than it turned out to be. A discount is only worthwhile when the product offers reasonable value for the amount paid. In my case, I ended up with a handheld vacuum that I could barely use, and the lack of a response from customer service made the situation even more disappointing.

Would I Recommend DustaClean?

I would not recommend DustaClean based on my experience. I paid £84 including shipping and received a vacuum with disappointing suction, cheap-feeling construction and an attachment that kept falling off. The product was advertised as a convenient cleaning solution, but it did not deliver the performance I expected, and my attempt to contact customer service went unanswered.

DustaClean might appeal to shoppers looking for a small vacuum that is easy to carry around, but I would not buy it again simply for that convenience. At this price, I expected a product that could handle basic cleaning without falling apart or leaving me frustrated. Instead, I felt that I had wasted my money. If you are considering buying DustaClean, I would think carefully before spending £84 on it, especially when its real-world performance and the support I received fell so far short of what I expected.
