Sharing My Personal Experience Using The Qinux Talkbuds
I decided to try the Qinux TalkBuds after seeing ads that promised high-quality audio, noise cancellation, and real-time translation features—all at a fraction of the price of premium earbuds. It sounded almost too good to be true, but curiosity got the best of me. Here’s how it actually went.
The TalkBuds came in a basic box—not bad, not premium, just okay. The earbuds themselves were lightweight and looked decent, though a bit plasticky. They fit comfortably in my ears, but I noticed they got slightly uncomfortable after wearing them for more than an hour.
For regular music or podcast listening, the sound was very average. There’s minimal bass, and the audio can feel a bit flat. Call quality was decent—I could hear the other person clearly, and they said my voice was fine too, though not super crisp.
Battery life was fair—I got around 4–5 hours of use on a single charge, and the case offered a couple of recharges. Bluetooth connectivity was stable, and pairing was quick, though I did notice a slight audio delay when watching videos.
Now about the Translation feature, this was one of the main reasons I bought these earbuds—and unfortunately, this part was underwhelming. The ads make it seem like you can talk in real time with someone in another language using just the earbuds, but in reality, the feature only works through a companion app you have to download.
Once in the app, you choose your language and the other person’s language. One person speaks, the app listens through your phone, and then the translated voice plays through the earbuds. It’s not true “real-time” like a live interpreter. There’s a noticeable delay, and it only works well for short, simple sentences. It struggled with anything conversational or fast-paced.
Also, keep in mind you’ll need internet access, and the translation accuracy really depends on the app—not the earbuds themselves. So, if you were hoping to travel abroad and use the buds to talk naturally with locals on the go… this won’t live up to that promise.
The Qinux TalkBuds are not terrible, but they’re also not great. They’re just okay for casual listening and simple calls. The translation feature, which is heavily marketed, felt more like a novelty than something truly useful. If translation is a priority, I’d recommend a dedicated translation device or a high-quality app like Google Translate instead.
Would I buy them again? No. For the price and the hype, I expected more. It’s a budget-friendly product trying to do too much—and not excelling at any of it.
