Sharing My Personal Experience Using The Melanin Glow Drops By Tan Luxe

Okay, so I’ll be honest — I was super intrigued by the idea of a tanning product you drink. As someone with a medium-deep skin tone, I’ve always found traditional self-tanners either totally useless or just… not made for me. When I saw Tan-Luxe’s Melanin Glow Drops, which you dissolve in water and drink daily, I thought: finally, something designed with melanin-rich skin in mind?

I took it consistently for a little over three weeks. The instructions say 1ml daily in water, and I followed that pretty religiously. The taste is kind of bitter but manageable — like a weird herbal tea meets multivitamin kind of flavor. I usually mixed it into a small glass of cold water in the morning to get it over with.

Now for the part that matters: the results.

At first, I didn’t really notice anything. Around day 10 or so, I thought I looked a bit more golden in the face, like I’d had a few extra hours of sun. But it was super subtle — so subtle that I wasn’t even sure if I was imagining it or if my lighting was just different. By week three, my skin did look a bit warmer overall, especially on my chest and shoulders. But nothing dramatic. If you’re expecting a full-on tan transformation, this is not that. It’s more of a gradual, internal “boost” to your natural glow.

Also, no weird side effects, which was a relief. I was nervous about taking something daily that messes with melanin production, but I didn’t break out or feel sick, and my digestion was fine.

That said, it’s not cheap — and for what it does, I’m not sure it’s worth it for me personally. I can get a similar glow from good skincare and a few days in the sun. But I do like that it’s not a fake, topical tan that rubs off on your clothes or looks streaky. It’s just a soft, slow enhancement.

Would I repurchase? Maybe if I had an event or vacation coming up and wanted a head start on a sunkissed look. But as a daily ritual? Not quite enough payoff.

Conclusion

All in all, I like the idea of the Tan-Luxe Melanin Glow Drops more than I loved the actual results. It gave me a soft, healthy-looking glow over time, but nothing super noticeable — and for the price, I was hoping for a bit more. If you’re into skincare and want a subtle boost to your natural radiance, it’s a nice addition to your routine. But if you’re expecting a dramatic tan or big transformation, this probably won’t be it.
